Paul Brian's "Common Errors in
English" Writer's Workbench flags the vast majority of the most common problems that Paul Brian elaborates on in his vast website dedicated to those annoying synonyms and acronyms and other common writing problems. Paul Brian's work is a superset of those words and phrases flagged by WWB's two analyses, the "Diction" analysis, which flags potentially problematic words and phrases, and the "Words to Check" analysis, which flags the most commonly misused homonyms and homophones. Paul Brian's website provides a great reference, again, a superset of that provided by our "WordUse" help file. |
